Le iniziative speeddate sono rivolte a chi vuole Viaggiare per incontrare Single

Non solo per viaggiare...leggete "SPEED DATING IS THE NEW CURE FOR CHRONIC SINGLEDOM. BUT DOES IT WORK?"

Ecco la storia di chi partecipando a uno dei tanti viaggi single a Barcellona organizzati da Speed Vacanze ha trovato un compagno di vita!

With 19 men in the room, it was inevitable that there would be some gems. The problem with speed dating is that the organisers over looked the inability of most Britons to talk to people they find attractive, especially in three minutes. British women are naturally suspicious of all ostensibly date-worthy men. British men are either too shy to communicate or too drunk.

The evening highlighted my own ineptitude. I could chat away with 18 of the daters, even the few objectionable ones. But faced with a vision of intellectual rough - his leather jacket, long hair and stubble offset by a professional interest in the energy supplies and natural resources of the Soviet Union - my brilliant observation was: "yeah, there's a lot of energy in Russia".

The bell rang and he moved on with a look of relief, ignoring my futile attempts to rescue the situation with a dissection of the relationship between control of resources and political power. He didn't tick me. You know if you've been ticked because the organisers of the event, Speed Dater, send you the e-mail addresses of anyone you have mutually ticked "yes" with.

The nervous anticipation with which I awaited the e-mail from Speed Dater belied the initially cynical approach I took to the event. If you're single it can be difficult to meet new people, and speed dating allows you to avoid the hideousness of a blind date with an objectionable man who has lied about his age and level of baldness.

And I got six matches out of nine "yes" ticks, which does no harm at all to a single girl's battered ego.
